Research

Welcome to the NECA web site. This site is dedicated to providing support and information to people suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). On this site, you will find useful information about what COPD is, resources to help you manage it, and organizations that are doing research on COPD.

National online survey

We are conducting the largest national survey in the United States of persons with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This survey is being conducted by SRBI for NECA, in collaboration with patient and professional organizations concerned with treatment of chronic lung diseases, and as a partner in the US COPD Coalition.

This survey will provide us with a national profile of patients with chronic lung disease in the United States, as well as information about patient preferences for information, programs and activities related to this condition.

Our Mission

NECA is a patient-centered, member-driven, and member-governed organization. Our mission is to empower patients, families and caregivers to improve the quality of patient care and the quality of their lives.
